Hi Experts ,
I have created a calcuation view say CV_HR_ACTIONS with some Variable like Employee name etc.
I wanted to give "Employee text table" for "View/Table for value Help" as shown below :
This works fine within HANA when using Data Preview (for F4 help on this filter ) but when a report is developed on the same view using "Analysis for Microsoft excel " it throws an error as shown below :
Also it works fine when I give the Current View with attribute - Employee name as a value for Help .
Appreciate your valuable inputs on this issue .
Request clarification before answering.
I hope that you have validated the calculation view is working correctly with the created input parameter..
If that is the case it appears as a bug I will suggest to create a support message for SAP to help..

I have validated the calculation view and it works fine either ways for Data preview in HANA .
I would like to know if any of you have used Reporting tool "Analysis for Microsoft excel " on HANA views and faced similar kind of issue with Variables?
This causes a performance issue at the reporting level when the value for help is Current View with attribute - Employee name as explained in post above .
