Dear Team,

We are facing an issue related to inbound mail processing in our SAP system.

We have already checked the following points:

  • SCOT configuration
  • SMICM service status
  • SICF service activation
  • User creation in SU01 with user type “System”
  • Network connectivity between SAP and mail server

Earlier, we were facing issues with outgoing mails as well; however, the outbound mail processing is now working properly. Despite all checks being completed successfully and no network issues being observed, inbound mails are still not being processed in SAP.

Request you to please help us identify the root cause and suggest the required solution.

Please let us know if any additional logs, traces, or configuration details are required from our end.

Regards,
Chetan Chavan

Hello

Inbound mail issue is usually due to missing/incorrect inbound setup,

Maintain Inbound node in SCOT (Settings → Inbound Processing)
Schedule job RSCONN01 (for inbound processing)
Verify handler class / address mapping (SO50 / CL_BCS_INBOUND)
Check SOST / SOSG logs for inbound errors
Ensure mail server allows inbound fetch (POP3/IMAP)

Thanks,
Sravan
