We are executing automated test scripts through the SAP Solution Manager Test suite using CBTA currently, script execution depend on individual user accounts, which occasionally leads to password authentication failures(password expiry, password change, account lock impacting scheduled test runs.
We would like to understand whether SAP recommends using a dedicated system user for executing scheduled CBTA scripts and test plans. Our objective is to ensure uninterrupted execution of automated tests and avoid authentication related failure.
Could you please help.

The user has to be of type "Dialog" to be able to logon to the SUT. System user will not work.
Please see the documentation in the system SU01 - move to mouse to Field "User Type" and hit F1.
Use the system user type for internal system processes (-> background processing) or system-related processes (-> ALE, workflow, TMS, CUA).
Dialog logon (using SAP GUI) is not possible.
A user of this type is excluded from the general settings for password validity. Only user administrators can change the password using transaction SU01 (Goto -> Change Password).
