hi all,

is the user required to be authorized to SBWP even if an email (for e.g. email for approval) will be sent to his outlook/lotus notes mailbox? i am thinking that the workflow via outlook/lotus notes cannot be sent because the recipient is not authorized for SBWP.

thanks in advance.

Hi,

I don't think that you require SBWP access to send a mail notification to outlook or Lotus notes, because sending email outside SAP is handled through SAP Connect SCOT, so make sure you have the right authorizations to send email and your SAP system SCOT ---> SMTP node settings are defined properly.

Hi ,

Actually the sbwp is one of the options in the work item delivery. there are so many options for workitem delivery.

1.Business workplace.

2.Universal worklist

3. Extended notifications

4.outlook

5.lotus notes

6.CRM inbox

7.SRM inbox

8. business workflow workplace.

so it is not must.

but if the users are not using portal then they can use this SBWP.
