Inventory Data source enhancement?

Hi,

I am Planning to add two fields to inventory to 2LIS_03_BF. can you please tell me what are the steps do i need to take care and also do i need to add these fields to 2LIS_03_BX also? already 5 years of data is available in the Info provider, after adding these two fields how to proceed for the Marker update?

Hi sudha,

if you want historical data for your enhanced fields you need to run full load, if possible run with selective options with enhanced fields.

Regarding Marker update: its not related to enhancement, you can follow the marker update settings as you did.

Hi Sudha,

What are the two fields that you are planning on adding to BF ? Steps are the same as for any other DS, i.e. enhance the extract structure, update the code (BAdI or User Exit), replicate the DS in BW, map the IO's in data targets, clear ques, transport, etc. You need not add those two fields to BX. You do not have to worry about delta if you do not want historical data to be populated for the two newly added fields. The two fields will be populated going forward.

Hi Ranganath,

I want the historical data for the enhanced fields. can you please tell me the things which i need to do in Marker update.? because for first time we will put "NO MARKER UPDATE" for BF from the second load onwards we will put the "MARKER UPDATE" for reflecting these records into the Initial stock.  so like this what are all the steps do i need to follow for only the enhancement fields?

Hi Ranganath,

After enhancing the BF Data source, i need to bring the historical movements and also current data. for the enhanced fields at the time of bringing the historical data do i need to delete the data from Target and do the full load or i can bring the data only for enhanced fields?

for the enhanced fields historical movements should be applicable to the opening stock, so do i need to do the compression and "Marker update" i.e., i dont select the check box?

please help me.
