Introduce workflow in customer master data UI5 app

Hi,

I have a requirement to extend customer master UI5 application, before the new record gets stored in S4 database, I should trigger a workflow to review the customer data and then push to S4 database if it is approved.

It would be great if any suggestions please.

Hi,

with using MDG on S/4HANA you have two options:

1. The MDG Request Customer Fiori app - see Fiori Apps Library
   direct link to app https://fioriappslibrary.hana.ondemand.com/sap/fix/externalViewer/#/detail/Apps('F0500')/S12OP
   There are also further apps of this type, for example Request Customer Change.
   

   

2. Our use the tile Manage Customer that brings you to the MDG Web Dynpro apps to search, create, and change customers.

Hi Andreas, Thank you very much for quick response. It is really useful. I am mostly looking into the workflows after creating/changing a customer record, how can I trigger workflow? (specifically in S4).

Honestly, I do not know how to achieve this without using MDG. But maybe some of the other community members know?
