Installing Enqueue Replication Server

Hi Guys,

I install SAP NW 04 SR1 on two Microsoft cluster node and I upgrade them to Stack 15,

now I'm going to install Enqueue Replication,when I insret the

SAP System Instance Identification ,It tells me "cannot find an 'Abap or Java SCS' sap instance appropriate for clustering"

I used Virtual Host Name for "Virtual Instance Host "

Could you please help me and let me know what should I do.

Hi Maryam,

We had the same problem even when using the sapinst_use_hostname it didn't work but somehow it looks at the MSCS resource names and they weren't completely the same you should have an "instance-resource" and a "service resource" with the same SID before it works. I would recommend you to check the names used as resources.

hi jasper,

iam installing enqueue replication server in the nodes but the installation shows error just after i give the SID name ,instance no and virtualhost name.the error is could not find sap instance resource and sapmnt .iam using ECC5 with ORACLE9i on win2003.i have installed the SAP clustering as per instguides.its urgent plz help

Dear Maryam,

the standalone enqueue server (which contains the enqueue replication server) has to be installed as a so called SCS instance (sytem central services). This should be done with the usual installation steps. The SCS consists of the standalone enqueue and a message server. Your ABAP/Java system will have to point to the SCS instance accordingly.

Actually,I did SCS installation but,this is seperate application that I'm going to install it,SAP recommended for Microsoft clustering I should install Enqueue Replication Server.Thanks for your comment.
