Hi,
I was working with the Master Data Planning in SAP BW/4HANA and I would like to integrate the Master Data Planning in SAC. I already prepared my InfoObject, which means I chose to use it as a InfoProvider and I switched it to Planning.
I have the following Attributes in my InfoObject ZCOSTCTR (Copy of 0COSTCENTER), which I would like to plan:

As we have a Live Data Connection with BPC for the SAC I need to integrate my InfoObject in the BPC Model, which is only possible via a CompositeProvider. In the CompositeProvider I add the ZCOSTCTR as InfoProvider, where I have the attributes as well as the generated key figures for each attribute.

Here is my question: When I do the mapping for ZCOSTCTR in the CompositeProvider, it is only possible to do it for the Nav.-Attributes. However, for the keyfigures for the display attributes as well as for the texts I always receive error messages and I am not able to activate the CompositeProvider. Hence, I am not able to do a Planning for these in SAC.
In this example I mapped the two key fields 0CO_AREA and ZCOSTCTR (no problem) and as attributes 1KYF_0RESP_P (Nav.Attr.), 1KYF_0COMP_C (no Nav. Attr. ) and 1KYF_1TXTSH.

Does anyone have an idea on how to map these in a CompositeProvider or make it possible to enable planning on texts and display attributes in SAC?
Thank you in advance and best regards
Svenja

Hi Svenja,
it seems that BPC only displays CompositeProviders and aDSOs in the value help where you can pick the InfoProviders to be included in the BPC Model. Have you checked the following approach:
include the planning enabled InfoObject in a CompositeProvider (just map the InfoObject), include the CompositeProvider in the BPC Model; then below the CompositeProvider you should see all part providers in the BPC Model, including the InfoObject. I am not sure, I hope that BPC does not only include aDSOs used as part providers in the CompositeProvider.

Gregor

Hi Svenja,
I just learned that with note 2824099 BPC allows to include planning enabled InfoObjects in BPC Models.

Hi Svenja,
input-ready query based on planning enabled InfoObjects also use 'characteristics as key figures' to expose all attributes and all existing text fields as key figures. Technically this means that the values are transported using the SIDs from BW data manager, to OLAP, planning and the clients.
For the CompositeProvider this means that the BW data manager needs SIDs on the DB level to be able to use a characteristic as key figure 1KYF_A based on characteristic A (or 'text field' 1TEXT*, etc.). As display attribute A or the different kind of text fields have no SID on the provider level the CompositeProvider does not allow to map the fields 1KYF_A, 1KYF_1TXT*, 1KYF_1DATE*, 1KYF_1TXTDATE*. So in a CompositeProvider you can only map 1KYF_A if A is a navigation attribute.
But you can create an aggregation level on the planning enabled InfoObject, an input-ready query on top of this aggregation level and use this query in SAC via a BPC liveConnection. In your story you can then use more than one input-ready query to integrate master data and key figure planning.

Gregor

Hi Gregor,
thank you very much for this explanation.
I have an aggregation level on my planning enabled InfoObject and I created some queries on this aggregation level.
For integration into SAC via the BPC liveConnection I need to add my InfoObject into a BPC Model first, correct?
How do I get the InfoObject into my BPC Model as I am only able to select aDSOs or CompositeProvider? Is there any other way to use my queries in SAC via the BPC liveConnection without the BPC model?
Thank you very much and best regards
Svenja
