'$' in output device

What does in mean when the output device starts with '$'?

Hi SS,

Here is a screenshot from an output condition record.

When I checked in table TSP03, the output device is not there. I also tried testing the output device using SO10 but it says output device is not defined.

exact this absence is the reason for getting a dollar sign in front of the printer name.

if the printer was removed from the database but you are using this printer in your personal settings or condition records etc. then SAP adds this $ sign.
