Hello,

In our company we think to implement EDI project and I have some questions about that:

1. I'll be happy to hear about successful XI- EDI or EDI-XI projects

(Especially we need to receive purchase order,850, and sand via VAN doc number 997)

2. We use with xi 3.0 SP 16 We want to now if we need to purchase special adapters or the adapters include in the system?

3. What is different between Seaburger adapter and Itemfield adapter?

Regards

Elad

Hello,

We take a decision to do this scenario with VAN provider.

In this case my work with XI will be very easy.

In addition to Michal's answer:

1. SeeBurger can be used to get XSD of message to create interface etc.

2. It is then responsibility of SeeBurger adapter to convert EDI file to XML format and vice versa.

3. You can also try ACTIS for EDI to XI integration which provide seamless integration with XI.

4. We did successful POC for many clients for EDI to SAPXI integration using ACTIS and SeeBurger.

Hi,

>>>>3. What is different between Seaburger adapter and Itemfield adapter?

- developed by two different companies

- SAP resells both of them

- one is an adapter - Seeburger adapter and one is an adapter module - Itemfield adapter?

- Seeburger also affer protocol adapter (VAN)

and Itemfield is just for changing data structures

and has to use one of the available adapters

yes you need to buy something more - unless

you have (as in my country) EDI provider

that allows to use EDI in XML format...
