Hello Divya,

Fistly thanks a lot for such a detailed post.

I have one query, for example I have whitelisted 1 IP address for e.g A for a particular API and now IP address B is trying to consume this API , although I know that it will fail. But I wanted to find the number of illegal IPs that tried to consume the API

Thanks in Advance

Regards

Abhijit

Hi Abhijit,

It looks like you were in communication with divya.mary - however this is a public community for all to see and consume, so she may not see or be aware of this post if you were trying to get her attention.

In regards to your question - SAP is introducing new inclusive language, which you can find here: https://help.sap.com/doc/b0322267728e48a28b0c8ee7dd1ab4c7/1.0/en-US/Inclusive%20Language%20Guideline...

For my answer I will be using the inclusive terms blocklist and allowlist, I hope this will make sense.

If you are looking to see a list of blocked IPs which failed attempts against the allowlist I recommend that you add the Statistics Collector policy to your API, in order to specifically collect the IP information when not allowed, which can then be included in an Analytics Drill down.

More information on statistics collector here: https://help.sap.com/viewer/66d066d903c2473f81ec33acfe2ccdb4/Cloud/en-US/523efe6d0a9d43beb5d62ad0793...
