HR is broken up in to different areas:

For example:

Payroll datasources = 0HR_PY_*

Time datasources = 0HR_PT_*

Admin datasources = 0HR_PA_*

and more.........benifits etc....

You can get a list in table roosource se16 or look in RSA5.

Use transaction RSA3 to test in the HR system, also make sure you have the correct

authorizations as per note 377557 7 397208

Hi Colin,

If I am not mistaken following is the procedure to extract HR data from ECC

ECC : - [RSA5(Activate the datasource) - > RSA6 (Check the activated datasource ) - > RSA3(Extract checker; for checking the data availability)]

BI : - Replicate the metadata in respective HR Submodule and proceed further to various data targets

Hi,

Please check below help link for HR business content:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/2a/77eb3cad744026e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm

Based on the functionality you want to implement, go in it and check data source tree. You will find all data sources available with description. It is not LO, LIS or Generic. All the data Sources for HR you will get under

HCM_ROOT( Application Component Hierarchy HCM (Enterprise Add-On)) in R/3 RSA5 Transaction.

H Eshwar,

HR is a seperate module. There are standard business content provided for SAP HR and its submodules. Please tell us which sub-module of HR are you trying to implement and we can guide you towards the business content provided by SAP. We do not use LIS or LO extraction methodologies for HR data extraction. Hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards
