How to transform/simplify excel upload file process into SAC upload format?

Hi,

Here is the scenario:

I have an excel file in below format.

In order to upload it in SAC classical model, I have to prepare an excel file in below format.

Is there a way I can simplify this process? This is an example where I have few KPI's but if I have multiple rows/ KPI's then copy paste and transposing columns to rows becomes a tedious task.

Anyone who has faced similar kind of upload issues or knows the workaround for this? Their comments would be deeply appreciated.

Hi Al,

You can use the unpivot functionality on the "Prepare Data" stage of your upload. Please see example below and have a look at the video on the shared link.

In the second imaghe you can see your moths were transposed into one single column that you could map to the date dimension on your model.

Import and unpivot cross table data
