How to install 1908 Cloud Applications Studio

How do you install the 1908 version of the Cloud Applications Studio found at https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/softwarecenter/search/cloud%2520studio%25201908? When the installer starts a dialog is displayed stating "This program requires the Visual Studio 2010 Isolated Shell. Do you want to install it now?"

Yes redirects the installer to download the VSIsoShell.exe package from http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/9/3/1939AD78-F8E8-4336-83F3-E2470F422C62/VSIsoShell.exe. No exits the installer. I had the shell installed from the previous version(s) of the app studio. I have tried removing & re-installing the shell, but every installation attempt is met with the same 2 options that don't result in getting the 1908 studio installed.

I am getting the same issue trying to install 2005 cloud application studio. This is strange because, 2002 cloud application studio is still working fine...I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling VS 2010 isolated shell and still same. Any ideas why would 2002 work but not allow to install 2005 cloud application studio?

Dear Samir,

Kindly try below options:

1. Please delete the cache files from your laptop.Example - C:\Users\XXXX \Documents\CopernicusIsolatedShell\Projects ->>> delete the instances.

2.Reinstall Cloud Application studio 2005 or try checking installing in different laptop to cross verify if the issue is with your laptop

3. If still persist, seems your Visual Studio 2010 which is currently exist in system is corrupted. Kindly contact your local IT team once and inform them to clear all the cache files associated to Visual studio.

Thanks for the suggestion - I have done all of the above clearing caches and reinstalling.

I am still getting the same issue.

I cant try on another laptop as I don't have one. Do you have any other suggestions please.

Dear SuMo,

Could you check if the firewalls or browser is stopping the installation of

Visual Studio 2010 Isolated Shell at customer's computer.

Dear Anant,

I would like to ask for installation 1911 Cloud Applications Studio to customer's PC.

At that time the above error is appeared.

So I clicked "Yes", "VSIsoShell" is downloaded automatically.

But customer's side reject to install "Visual Studio 2010 Isolated Shell".

Because they want to install Visual Studio 2019.

So I would like to know "Visual Studio 2XXX Isolated Shell" is the same or not with "Visual Studio 2XXX".

And to install SAP Cloud Application Studio, the installation allows "Visual Studio 2010 Isolated Shell" only or not.

Now I need to install hurry up.

Could you please check and give advice me?

Seems your Visual Studio 2010 which is currently exist in system is corrupted. Kindly contact your local IT team once and inform them to clear all the cache files associated to Visual studio.

If the issue still persist, you can send me message directly from community. We can try checking it together.
