How to improve debugging speed in SAP Cloud Application Studio Development environment?

Hello!

In our development environment we have many solutions so far for different customers.

When all customer solutions have enhancements of one standard object and script enhancements for that object, debugging becomes extremely slow and hard.

No matter what solution you are in and what customer id is attached to your solution, the debugger goes through all scripts in all solutions present in the development environment in the SDK. So until the debugger reaches the breakpoint in the current solution we work in, it takes more than 5 minutes every time.

Is this a known issue?

Can someone explain if this can be solved somehow?

Can we make the debugger go through the scripts and enhancements only in the solution we are working in right now?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Hi Kostadin.

Unfortunately, there is no answer definite. But in my experience i realized, sometimes it is according to system’s server side workload at that moment or it is according to solution’s file size as you can see as below screenshot.

There is difference between first and second screenshot. While debugging slower at first screenshot, you can debugging normal or faster at second screenshot.

I faced another sample; for example our solution’s file size as second screenshot or less than 2MB. There are basic custom development, small extension business object’s development, etc.

While i debugging, the system is much slower than usual time and the system keeps me waiting on debugging. If you face like this situation, you should monitoring and wait to pass or although you wait if still contunie you must open ticket to SAP. Probably, your problem will be solved one or two days.

Hi, the only "solution" I know of is to go through all solutions and Disable as many as you can. Perhaps a regular activity can be to Disable the solutions of customers you have not worked for since a certain period.
