How to delete an Datasource?

Hi,

How to delete the data source that was generated using the export datasource?

Can anyone give the detailed steps for the same.

Hi ,

Since you have done a exportdata source the datasource will be in the same system itself with prefix "8ObjectName".

Please following the steps to delete the datasource in BW System,

1. Goto Transaction Code -> SBIW and select Postprocessing of DataSources (or) RSA6 directly

2. Locate the datasource which you want to delete (Please expand the list before you search)

3. your datasource will be found under DATAMART heirarchy.

4. Select the datasource and click on the delete symbol

5. Now the datasource will be successfully deleted.

6. To confirm that you data source has been deleted or not

a. Goto SE11 or SE16 and view the table ROOSOURCE whcih contains the list of datasource and its information

b. In the OLTPSource give the datasource name which you have deleted.

c. It won't display the datasource if its deleted.

Go to RSA6 and find the your datasource in the node 'DM', click on it and there is a delete icon on the standard icon bar,select it that you should be able to delete the datasource.

RSA6, expand application component 'data mart' (DM),

cursor position on datasource to be deleted,

click trash icon.
