Hi Mohd,

To resolve your issue, you should restart the whole server (Suse) and then delete all xvfb daemon process.

Hope this can helps you.

Best regards,

Saloua.

Hi

Firstly we will need the background / steps followed for your CMS non-availability issue. I believe you followed steps provided by Sohel.

It would be important to know the error you find in var logs for any message observed while you try to start RAS services.

Trace the CMS service to check where the issue is bothering the RAS. I suspect we have a problem with RAS entries in CMS Db

Finally I would suggest you to close the thread for server hostname not found as we would discuss RAS in this thread.

Hi,

Seems all other service in CMS is running. Just only report application server not running, I'm not found any error on /var/log/messages regarding this issue. How to check RAS entity in db? Please advice.

A method to check whether we have a corrupt entity in CMS Db would be to point the CMS to a working Backup of CMS Db and see whether all the servers are working fine.

If they work appropriately, it means we have a corruption at Db level. So we can go for restore of the CMS Db backup, else we would need to repair the cms db with reposcan tool.

Logon to Central Management Console (CMC)-->Click Create a newServer button-->Under Service Category, select Crystal Reports.

Under Select Service, select Crystal Reports Viewing and Modification Service and click Next.

Under Node, select the Node under which you want to create the Report Application Server.

Check Server Name (can be modified), enter Description (optional) and click Create.
