I have a bunch of "Available Data Sources" in my database Expert

A few are mistakes and should not be there

How do I remove them ?

Hi Domenic,

It is Quite simple, You just right click on that unused connection and select "Delete connection"

Then it removed from the list.

Hope this will help you...

OK Yes that Helps a lot - Now I can get rid of some of the mistakes I made

I saw the "Delete Connection"  option but Delete is such a scary word. If I saw "Remove From List" I would not have given it a second thought

THANK YOU !!!

P.S.   On some connection I am not presented with the option to remove from list   - Any thoughts why ?

Hmmmmmm

Seems that if I expand the the list to see what its pointing to it won't allow me to delete. If I close Database expert and come back n then I can remove  or delete the connection

Hi Domenic,

If that connection is using the open report Report in CR Designer like any plug type symbol is available for the connection(means CR Still uses that connection). For those types of connections the "Delete connection" is not present. It is greyed out.

For Deleting those connection you need to close the crystal Designer and reopen the designer. Then you can able to remove those connections.

Hope this will help you...

Hi Domenic,

That Connection was still using the Report. that is the reason you were unable to use that option.

You close the existing Crystal Designer and again reopen the crystal Designer, then you can able to delete that connection.

Hope this will help you...

If I close the database expert come right back in (don't expand the tree) I am able to delete

It is as if expanding the tree flags it as being used

Thanks !!!
