Dear SAP Analytics Cloud Community,
I am relatively new to SAP Analytics Cloud and I am seeking some guidance on adding variances to a table in the application.
As a newcomer, I am eager to learn and explore the capabilities of SAC. I have successfully created a table and configured the necessary dimensions and measures. However, I am unsure how to incorporate variance calculations into the chart to analyze the differences between different data points.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide me with step-by-step instructions or point me to relevant documentation or tutorials. Any guidance, tips, or best practices regarding adding variances to charts in SAP Analytics Cloud would be highly valuable to me.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I am eager to deepen my understanding of SAC and enhance my data visualization skills.chart-with-variance.pngwithout-variance.png

deepika55To get the variance in the table. First configure the column of the table as shown in the builder. This means you should have Measure, Date and Version in same order as shown below.
Now go to the table select the two versions Actual and Budget, right click > select client calculation> Subtract> repeating as shown below.
This will add a column called subtract. Select the column and rename it to variance by double clicking on it.
To add the in cell charts, click on variance column header > right click > select in cell charts
To get the right color, add thresholds. Right click on variance header column > Thresholds > new threshold
Final Result:
Hope this helps.
