HCI data services vs DXC data extractor

Hi everyone,

can someone explain what is the best solution in order to load data from SAP on-premise to HCP between:

-"HCI Data Services" and

- "DXC - Direct Extractor"?

I would propose a third alternative: SDI (smart data integration) in case your are loading into a HANA database on HCP. SDI is replacing HCI-DS as data integration tool for loading data to HCP.

I'm not very familiar with DXC, but it is probably also an option if you can use DXC through the cloud connector. However DXC is not a full ETL tool, it only allows to use the business content extractors as-is to load to HANA. SDI also leverages the business content extractors in ECC, but adds many additional capabilities, e.g. get data from ABAP tables directly (in case an extractor is not available), get data in real-time through database replication, add transformations on your data, etc...
