HANA client version update

I want to update HANA client version. We have 1 DB host and one application host (both on SLES). Where I need to update the client version ? On DB host, application host or both? Also, is a restart (application or DB ) restart is also required after the HANA client upgrade. We are having SQLDBC client

Hi Abhishek Singh,

You would have to apply the Hana Client upgrade patch for both DB & Application. Its because, if you browse in /sapmnt/<SID>/global/ there over you will have the hana client installation folder, which would be updated with your Hana client upgrade

Thanks Shabeer for this blog but I know the client update process. I am not sure about the below 2 questions:

1. We have 1 DB host and one application host (both on SLES). Where I need to update the client version ? On DB host, application host or both?
