Getting 401 unauthorized error while trying to post using HTTP and AS2 connection from partner end

Hello All,

I have been encountering 401 unauthorized error while testing from partner end for HTTP and AS2 connection.

I have used the basic authentication for sender AS2 and HTTP with necessary roles assigned. Valid Certificates were updated at both ends as well.

Can anyone provide me the possible reasons for 401 error and solutions for the same?

Note - The testing when performed with same credentials using postman was successful.

Thank you,

Aditya

Hello Aditya, One solution could be to create a service key using the sender system's SSL certificate. You can contact your BTP administrator to help you create the same. 1. Log in to the SAP BTP cockpit. Navigate to "Services Instances and Subscriptions". Select the relevant service instance. In the "Service Keys" section, click "Create". 2. Creating the Service Key: In the "New Service Key" dialog: Enter a name for the service key. Choose "Certificate" as the "Key Type". Paste the sender's certificate (External Certificate) into the designated field.
