Generic DataSource by View on EKBE table.

Hi All

I am also trying to create View based on EKBE table . I am getting some errors even through  I have included at reference table ( EKBE,EKKO and T001)  with respective fields.

View is Ok, only when I try to activate DataSource in  RSO2 , I am getting error like this

Invalid extract structure template ZEKBE of DataSource ZPU_EKBE_FLEX1

Message no. R8359

Diagnosis

You tried to generate an extract structure with the template structure ZEKBE. This operation failed, because the template structure quantity fields or currency fields, for example, field MENGE refer to a different table.

Anybody had same issue ?

Can you check about the fields like Currencies/units which are part of your EKBE Table.

those might be referenced. so you need to include referenced tables also. other wise it won't allow you to activate your data source.

i think you missed to include EKPO table. please include in your view.

Go to your EKBE table at SE11, display the fields and click on currency/quantity fields tab, see the column reference table.

Yes , your right ,  I have missed EKPO table , I have included in View , View is OK,but still  I am getting same error.

Have you refreshed your RSO2 after the view activation with ekpo table?

Now your view was active with EKPO. Fine.

Go to SAP East access and again  go to RSO2, enter data source name, on next screen try to pass view name and check it. it may works.

because MENGE was referenced from EKPO table. Try to create your data source again with same name.

Like you said I have created everything from RSO2,  except View .

I am not lucky yet. getting same error.

Please check the currency/unit fields tab in EKBE table.Include those fields in the structure which you created and also include the same in join condition with the proper link.

This is a known issue and you just need to identify it properly.
