Forwarding functionality in SAP My Inbox

Hello Experts,
I am using SAP Workflow Management for approval process. When a user tries to forward a task to other recipient, that recipient ID is not validated so workflow task gets assigned to invalid user. Is there any way to validate recipient ID?

Hi Megha,

As much i know, there are no parameter to validate a user for it's active status while selecting to forward a work item to that user in sap inbox. In that case, you can try Tcode SU01D, LOGONDATA tab to check user's validity status. It is a manual check process.

Hello Megha,

Yes forwarding the task does not validate the user, and there is no way to provide the validation in MyInbox. You can check using the task API if the task is assigned to any processor and if not then Admin can be notified. We are enhancing this behavior in Task Center where there will be value help available which will anyways not need validation.
