Hello,
i'm currently learning how to setup simple Process Automations.
So basically, my first goal is to create a simple Process containing a PDF-File upload Form + Approval.
I'm stuck at multiple Problems:
I'm using a Free Tier Account.
I have this Service enabled with the Free plan:
- Document Management Service, Integration Option
- SAP Process Automation
- SAP Business Application Studio
- Launchpad Service
I didn't enabled this service, because there is no Free plan:
Document Management Service, Application Option
I have a existing Process that i created one month ago with a Form that has a "File upload" -Field.
But i cannot get it to work, because i don't know how to set up the Document Management Service & Destination correctly and connect the Process/Form with that Destination...
When i create a Form there is no "File upload" Field.

Last month i followed a guide i found online, back then i was able to create a Form with a File upload field.
I don't know why, but now i'm not able to use the Field "File Upload".
When i delete the existing File Upload Field its gone, and i'm not able to add a new one.

I followed a guide that was half in Chinese that showed how to create a Document Management Respository by using a POST Request with Postman. And i tried to create a destination. But i don't know if its correct or even working. As i said before, i Created a Form one Month ago, and i was able to use the File Upload field. But this form doesn't work because there is something wrong with the Document Management. I get an Error message saying there is a problem with the connection to the Document Management.

Request clarification before answering.
Hi Friederich,
Sorry to hear that you face an issue with the DMS and “File upload” Field.
Let me provide some background to the issue. As you stated correctly when using the free tier account in the past you used the Document Management Service, Integrated Option which was used as a repository to store files. The Document Management Service itself has limitation when using free tier (please also refer to https://discovery-center.cloud.sap/serviceCatalog/document-management-service-integration-option/?re...).
In Process Automation you see those errors as DMS can not be reached without errors, thus also the “File Upload” field gets hidden again to prevent users from building forms that would not work later on.
If the integration with your DMS instance worked before and you haven not changed the configuration, the error is probably rooted in using up the free capacity of DMS. It could also be there is a different problem with your DMS system that prevents it from being used properly.
To resolve that issue you would require a DMS (SAP or 3rd party) you can administrate by yourself. You will require a new Destination Configuration with this DMS similar to your screenshot. We currently do not support an embedded DMS within Process Automation this will come soon, please also refer to our road map for this (https://roadmaps.sap.com/board?PRODUCT=73554900100800003832&BC=000D3AAC9DD21EDCA2CF957127295E0E&range=CURRENT-LAST#;INNO=000D3AAC9DD21EECBAFB52E2D9BFBDEE)
Thanks,
Felix

File upload option is only shown if you have configured the DMS destination. Check the documentation here

I don't know what i'm missing, and where can i even configure it?
In my Post i wrote all the steps i did. I'm kinda lost here
I just want to learn about Process Automation and create a Simple File Upload form + Approval Process.
The confusing part is, some weeks ago i was able to use Upload-Fields in Forms.
I could need a step by step guide, starting with a fresh subaccount (Free Tier)
- What services/subscriptions do i need (Free Plan) ?
- How to create a working Destination to the DMS ?
- How to connect the Destination or DMS to the Process Automation ?
