Hi,

If contents are coming through Backend ECC you have to maintain the out put device in su01. Even I got the same error ,after mentioning LP01 in su01->default->output device the %pdf error stopped.

Thanks & Regards

Hi santosh,

Thanks for your response, in y case, the data is not coming from backend, it the KM data that is producing the error.

Hi UM,

What is your Portal SPS? Its a well known pdf conversion error and it starts as of SPS14. There is patch for SPS15 and a SPS14 patch 1 available in SAP Note (see above).

You can also try this setting on the user's PDF reader.

Go to Acrobat Reader edit>preferences>Internet and Uncheck the Display PDF in Browser.

It works for me and could also help you (if patches from SAP Note is not able to resolve your issue).

I'm on SPS14 and I'm patching up the KMC conponent as mentioned in the above SAP Note.

Good Luck and I will edit my post here after the Patch/testing , so that you too can have an idea if it will workout for you.

Hope that helps.

Raymond

Hi UM,

The SPS14 patch 4 worked for me and I do not get anymore reports of such pdf issues. Tried the patch (SPS14 patch 4 as patch 1 is no longer valid) and it should resolve your "%PDF.." message.

As for the PDF reader settings, its just to display your PDF document from the reader and not via the web.

Hope that helps.

Thx.
