Hello,
We've been through the configuration of all our managed systems on our Solution Manager 7.2. Since we have many customers system configured, it appears that the extractors are collecting a huge amount of data and the DB keeps growing of 50Gb a month. This is a problem for us.
In our SOlMan system we only intend to run the EWA and no other solution.
Would it be possible to deactivate all the extractors or some of them or all the extractors are necessary for the EWA ?
Thanks for your help

Hi Thomas,
The EWA process itself doesn't collect performance data but rather reads data already existing such as those coming from the SMD Agent to the extractor framework on Solution Manager. Those are stored in the BW database in infocubes.
The EWA process does store EWA session data in certain tables but those are not extractor data.
If you have the name of the table that is growing, then I would suggest you let us know here so we can be of more help.
To also confirm the prior reply, the EWA requires performance / workload data either from ST03 / ST06 or preferably from BW (SMD extractor). So in summary the best approach is not to disable the collection of data but rather to maintain the database so that it is growing at an optimal rate.
