export/import PI interfaces

Hi,

what all are the possibilities to import/export all interfaces from one company SAP PI system to another company PI system. let me explain you the background: if XYZ company acquires ABC company, XYZ has to install new PI system and get all the interfaces from ABC company; what is the best way to approach this?

NOTE: very few interfaces, not using CTS+ for migration

Hi Prema,

When XYZ acquired ABC means obiously ABC infrastrcure belongs to XYZ I dont think XYZ needs to buy licence they can use ABC PI system .

If both XYZ and ABC has PI systems and XYZ wants only one PI system to handle all integrations then export SLD content then ESR/ID.

And make sure that XYZ PI supports network compatibility to ABC PI connected systems,take help from infrstructure to solve this.

If XYZ want to buy a PI licence then contast SAP Sales team

what if ABC sold its systems to XYZ? it is the case here. physically the systems should be in XYZ.

i just have the mappings to import. and SLD part is taken care by the basis.

ABC systems will belong to XYZ and no need to import/export unless you need to move interfaces to XYZ Own PI system.

You can use File Tramport mechanism to Xfer interfaces from one PI system to other,

Yes let me assume that i want to move all interfaces from ABC to XYZ own PI systems.

is .tpz file transport is the mechanism?

yes.export ESR content/ID content as .tpz files then import it.
