excel as data source fails on second tab

Excel workbook with four worksheet fails on second worksheet. By failing, it just spins up to 20 minutes when I cancel. No error message.

The second or third attempt is successful, but time-consuming and frustrating.

Any thoughts on additional troubleshooting steps?

What type of report are you working with (Crystal, Webi, etc.) and what database connection type are you using to connect to Excel?
