Hi,

I enhanced datasource 0FI_AR_4 with two new fields in ECC and replicated datasource into BW. But when I try to activate the datasource, I am getting message "Error when creating transfer structure /BIC/CCOJ0FI_AR_4  in source system".

I try to activate datasource manually and by using program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL, but endup with a same error message.

To fix this issue I created programs as per the Note 493422, but it will work only in  R/3 3.1 system. The Note 564599 is for 7.X datasources. This note is not available and getting "The requested SAP Note is either in reworking or is released internally only".

Please let me know if have any suggestions to fix this issue.

Thanks,

Hemanth

Check the RFC connection between your source system and BW.

Are you able to see data in RSA3? Check it is active in RSA6.

Try to replicate again and activate it manually.

Hi Suman,

Thanks for the reply.

The RFC connection is fine. Other datasources are working fine.

I am able to extract data in RSA3 and its active in RSA6. Tried many times, but getting same error message.

Thanks,

Hemanth

Delete the datasource in BW.

Replicate it freshly and try to activate..This should work..

Issue got resolved. Thanks for all suggestion.

Our BI system had duplicate source ECC system connected. Due to which ROOSGEN table in source system had few entries generated when I try to activate. Which lead to the activation failure. After deleting this entries in ROOSGEN table, I was able to activate successfully.

Thanks,

Hemanth

In the source system, delete the related datasource in the ROOSGENSEG and ROOSGEN tables and re-active it in the BW system.

Hi Hemanth

The note 493422 has a valid correction for ALL releases. If the source system is 7.0x or above, use the report
Z_RS_SCRSYSTEM_R3_CHECK without any parameters to list all inconsistencies.

Then run it in repair mode and the activation will work.

There is no need to delete the datasource/data itself.

Just delete the PSA data wrt following transfer strcuture and reimport the transport again in the system.

also check following thread

check below thread

Hi Hemanth,

Are you facing this after system copy?.

Do you have two source system connections with same source system technical name?

Check whether source system is active or not. Do a source system connection check in RSA1.

Also, check WE20 and WE21 and see of partner profile is active and correctly configured or not.

Hi Hemanth,

Migrate your data source using tcode RSDS from 3.x to 7.x then again migrate it from 7.x to 3.x.

Now try to create your transfer rule.

Hi,

Please check the table ROOSFIELD. What is the "field attr" of the enhanced fields?

Are you able to see the data in RSA3?

Thanks,

Amir
