Hi,

I am not able to open the Guided Development Extension in VSCode (1.82.3) / Windows 11
for SAP Fiori Elements Projects.
I have a named Workspace "UI5" with all my project folders beneath.

The Validate Application shows:
No issues in project 'zguideddev'.

The Error:

An error occurred while opening the Guided Development web view.: Details: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'project')

The Extension Host Log shows this:

Thank you for any hint.

Kind regards

Paul

Hi Paul,

As I mentioned in my previous answer, this was a bug in how Guided Development handles multiple projects in a workspace. The fix has been released in the latest version of SAP Fiori tools. When you get the chance, please update SAP Fiori tools (or at least the Guided Development extension) and give it a try. Thank you for your patience with this matter.

Kind regards,
Conrad (Product owner, SAP Fiori tools Guided Development)

Hi Paul,

Sorry to see that you had an issue. The Guided Development team has investigated this error and believes it to be tied to a bug in how we detect multiple projects in the workspace. We are currently testing our fix and anticipate this matter being resolved for the next release of SAP Fiori tools -- anticipated late next week. Please note that this is technically not a promise of functionality and that SAP reserves the right to change its development and release priorities at any time...but we're expecting to have this fix out for you 🙂

I will comment when the fix is available.

Kind regards,
Conrad (Product owner, SAP Fiori tools Guided Development)

Good afternoon Conrad

Thanx a lot for your fast assistance.
As a workaround I could try to load a project as a single folder workspace into VSCode.

Best regards
Paul

Hi Paul,

That's correct! Single projects should work as anticipated. Thank you again for your patience on this matter.
