error on line 1 at column 1: Document is empty / Working only in debug mode

Hello,

I am currently trying to debug the following error in an SAP UI5 applications.

There are no relevant console log messages to point to an error, and the only lead I have at the moment is that when using the debug sources the application works fine. Any suggestions as to why using the debug mode might enable the application to function properly?

Instead of enabling the debug mode, does it also work when running the app with the URL parameter sap-ui-xx-componentPreload=off?

Thank you for the suggestion. I replaced the debug parameter with yours - so I assume it's correctly placed - and the error persists. I should note that in the meantime I did notice that the component-preload.js is different from some working applications, and hypothesized that the debug mode is ignoring that. But shouldn't it then work with your suggested parameter?

I guess it's not an issue in the served application coding then. Could you now try with sap-ui-xx-libraryPreloadFiles=none?

No change, same error.

Most likely, the server serves one or more XML related files that are invalid. Would it be possible to share the recorded network trace (.har file) as per https://support.google.com/admanager/answer/10358597?hl=en? If not, I'd suggest creating a customer incident.
