Hello SAP Community,
I’m currently configuring an MSMP Workflow in GRC Access Control (Access Request Approval Workflow), and I’m facing an issue at Step 7 of 7 (Generate Versions). When I try to activate the workflow version, I get the following error:
ID 171F2A42B1921FD09993DA2E870F395E is initial, unknown, or it does not have the correct object type
🛠️ What I’ve done so far:
Created and maintained custom paths and stages (Custom Path, GRAC_MANAGER)
Configured rules, variables, agents, and route mapping
Maintained BRF+ rules and activated the application
Assigned initiator and checked agent rules in MSMP config
✅The following validations passed:
Process Path: SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST
Stage: GRAC_MANAGER validation began successfully
❌The main blocker is this Object ID error which is not pointing clearly to any specific config step or missing object.

Has anyone faced this before?
Is it related to a missing or inactive BRF+ rule, initiator, or stage ID?
Could it be an issue with an invalid agent rule or context parameter?
Any guidance or steps to debug this object ID error would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Regards,
Ankit Singh
