Error - Create an API Based on a pre-Defined API Provider - Trial Account

Hello network,

I'm facing problems in "Learning Journey" named "Developing with SAP Integration Suite". Being more specific in "Unit 3 - Managing APIs". api-provider.pngapi-test.pngapi.pngresponse-body.pngWithin the theme Creating an API (sap.com) you are asked to create an API based on a predefined API provider.

I performed all the procedures as informed and when testing the API it is returning error 404.

Below I am attaching the printscreen.

Did I forget to configure something? Could it be a trial account error?

Hi Luan,

From your screenshots it is difficult to analyse the issue. I just followed the steps in the documentation and it works fine with the GWSAMPLE_BASIC service. Just double check your configuration and make sure the 'v1' is not mentioned twice. It gets added automatically to 'name' and 'base path' when you type it in the 'version' field.

Thanks for the quick response, sorry for the delay in responding.

I was watching and in the trial account it is not possible to access the APIs settings by clicking on "Settings", this option does not exist in the Trial account. Therefore, it is not possible to configure the "API Management Service" field. I could be wrong though, I haven't found it anywhere. Accessing this configuration is important because there is the "Virtual Host", necessary in the creation of the API.

In my analysis this is the reason for having this problem.

I have a question, did you do this same test on a Trial account? If yes, how did you manage to perform this procedure without errors?

I just tried it on a Trial account and all works fine. The Settings might not be accessible, but it is not needed as this is prefilled when you create the API and you can use the default value.
