Error #1009

I just upgraded from Professional to Engage. When I open my old files and convert them to the new version, I get the following error message:

"Invalid Property. Could not set 'showLabel' property on xcelsius.controls::Checkbox class to false. Error #1009"

Any ideas on how to correct this? I didn't see any other posts about this issue.

Hi Christine,

The error just means something failed to load properly.

Are you able to send me the file? If so, I'll look through it and try to find the exact cause.

Thanks anyway. We've returned the software and are sticking with the older version.

I'm curious. Why did you feel as if you should return it and use the old version?

We were getting alot of errors. Also Xcelsius kept hanging up when we would open large files from the older version. It would just get stuck and sit there. Your new customer service is too time consuming to navigate and is not very user friendly. It took me over an hour on hold to find out how to access the forum, then I had to register, then I had to look through all the strings to see if any pertained to my issue, then I had to enter a question and wait for an answer. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but a simple phone call or a live chat could have answered my question in no time. I just don't have the time or the technical abilities to figure out all the glitches on my own. . . The old version still works for us. We'll just stick with that for now.
