Hello everyone,
Recently I was assigned to enable messaging users (via e-mail) about the results of particular process chains.
I managed to apply a message to the chosen processes (through the context menu) and it generally works fine - the messages are generated like they should.
My question is - is there any way to enhance somehow the message output? Make it more "user friendly"?
All the information about the result is given in a very "technical" form, not easy to spot at first glance. I can put some custom text in the message (and I have) but it:
a) breaks the formatting of the default result message, which is always attached at the end of the message (the lines do not start where they should)
b) does not allow for dynamic content (like e.g. date/time of process ending, result, etc)
Is there any way to put some dynamic content on my own to the message, instead of relying on the default message?
So I could for example insert dynamically (PROCESS NAME) - (RESULT) on (DATE/TIME) in the e-mail's subject and some basic info in the message itself, instead of a very technical and hard to read for a business user log details.
Best regards,
Aleksander

Hi,
Not Sure about the dynamic message but you can create your own message with Maintain Message->error/successful.
And use this method at respective process types you want to send notification.
Write the message whatever you want depending upon at what step you are using this notification.
So what I wanted to say is use the notification at important steps and define the message you want at each step.

Thank you for your input Pratap, howver, as I have stated above: static text does not make the message more clear (for example if you use it for a message produced both in case of success and failure, you cannot just write Result: Success / Failure in static text).
Moreover, using the custom text destroys the formatting of the tehcnical dynamic log that follows. Lines do not end as they should, etc.
So, does anyone know if making the custom text dynamic is possible?
