Enhanced Data Type not visible in SPROXY

Hello experts,

I've enhanced my personal data type with some extra fields...

I activated this and the change can be seen in the Message Type and the Service Interface.

Next, I go to my ECC6.0 backend system and take transaction SPROXY. There I need to regenerate my proxy.

After I did that, I expected to see my added fields in my input structure as an append structure, but that's not the case.

What's wrong? Please advice.

Thanks a lot!

Dimitri

First try to refresh the cache in XI and then regenerate the proxy once again. This should solve your problem.

I did this via transaction SXI_Cache and choose for a complete cache refresh.

Next I regenerated myi proxy again. Unfortunately, the fields are not visible...

When did you last activated your proxy. Check if all connections which are required to connect the proxy are in place?

I'm sure the connections are fine because I generated proxies before without any problem.

I only do not see the new fields of the enhanced data type in my proxy.

Then the possible reason seems to me is, cache issue.

1. In your IR also clear the cache from menu Environment--> Clear SLD Data Cache.

2. Try to log out from R3 and then login again.

I did both things... nothing. Very strange..

Maybe there's something wrong in the setup of my data types? Could that be?

do some dummy change in your Message Interface and then activate it, after that regenerate the proxy and then then check if it works..

I did changes in data type, message type, service interface.

I refreshed the cache and logged of and on again.

Also, in SPROXY, everything seems normal. I see all the necessary objects..

But then I saw something...I also see the Data Type Enhancement in the SPROXY with the symbol of not yet generated (white and red).

Then I create a proxy of it and indeed... now I see the append structure when I open my initial proxy.

This seems a bit strange to me. Generate a proxy to see the result in another proxy.

Thanks to all for the tips!

Correct. You need to locate the Data Type Enhancement in SPROXY and generate a proxy for that. Once you do that you can see the append structure in the original data type.

After you created the Data Type Enhancement in the ESR, did you go into the ECC system and create a proxy for it? Once you do that, you can then go into your original data type and see them appear as append structures. (Note that this is not the same as regenerating the proxy for your originals).

In SPROXY you should see the Data Type Enhancement show up in the namespace you developed it in. Listed under it will be the original data type.

Hi Dimitri,

There should not any problem while generating proxyies again please chek two things in your case

1.Wether the Activation is done prperly or not.

2. Conncetions from ESR to PI are proper ot not ( rfc connection LCRSAPRFC between PI and R/3).

Please chek the fillowing link which has the information about the issue in visibiility of content in ESR and the necessary configuration steps to be followed to enable the updated PI content in ESR as response to Question 2. in the responses.
