Hi Experts,
we are currently investigating the possibilities of embedded reporting and I am not sure how to rate the Query Browser.
As I mean to understand the QueryBrowser bases on DesignStudio and this technology will be deprecated. Does this also apply for the QueryBrowser?
Multidimensional Reporting offers the same features (and maybe more) but I don´t have a generic application (like the QueryBrowser) so I have to develop a tile for each query. Because of this reason I trend to use the QueryBrowser but this wouldn´t make sense if it will get deprecated in near future...
Is there a official strategy for that question?
Thanks in advice,
Moritz

Ok I searched a little bit more and it seems as SAP switched the Target Mapping behind the QueryBrowser. I hope I can clarify it for others who have the same question:
As you can see in the App Library ( https://fioriappslibrary.hana.ondemand.com/sap/fix/externalViewer/#/detail/Apps('F1068')/S24OP ) the QueryBrowser opens not a DesignStudio but rather a WebDynpro GridApplication.
In the blog https://blogs.sap.com/2018/07/11/how-to-create-custom-fiori-multidimensional-reporting-application-i... you can see there is a Application for DesignStudio (/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/FIN_DS_ANALYZE) and there is a application for WebDynproGrid (FPM_BICS_OVP)
I my S4 Version (2020 SP1) the QueryBrowser opens the TargetMapping AnalyticQuery->analyze which points to the DesignStudio App "/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/FIN_DS_ANALYZE".
But because SAP writes in the App-Library QueryBrowser works with WebDynpro Grid, I think i depends on the S4 Version and in newer Version the TargetMapping points to the FPM_BICS_OVP -> can anybody with a newer version confirm this?
If this would be the case the QueryBrowser would be base on the Multidimensional Reporting in future and could be used without concern....
EDIT: With the exception of the created tiles (by QueryBrwoser) because the query parameter is saved as XQuery for DesignStudio and not as bsa_query for WebDynpro (unless SAP built a workaround for that problem)
kind regards,
Moritz
