DTP data selection in start routine

Dear guys,

I would like to modify data in a cube from a specific DTP request. Selective deletion of data in the cube offers selection by request SID. Same thing would be nice to use it as DTP filter. But that is not possible so far. Now I want to use a ABAP startroutine where I want to manipulate data of this specific DTP request. How could I do this? Mostly I found community hints that this is not able yet- cannot imagine that so far! Have you any idea?

Dear Debjit, thanks for your reply. Unfortunatly I do not extract from PSA to Cube but from Cube to Cube. There is no option of preselection. We call it "look up" transformation (or "circle booking"). Any other idea? Regards, Peter

Dear Debjit, thanks for your reply. I need to delete data from a specific request-ID in the cube. Do not want to use selective deletion nor deletion of the whole request. What we have done now was a reverse booking via start-routine by using specific filter criterias. Hope this will help. Hopefully in future it will be possible to have filter a DTP as filter selection. Regards, Peter

Hello Peter,

Unfortunately DTP or start routine will not let you filter based on source REQUEST id.
I doubt this request based filter will be introduced in future. Reason, system check and selects request from delta and control tables. This is an automated process whenever, we trigger full or delta DTP. Adding request ID field as filter may compromise selection process.
Scenarios like yours, are best left with customer custom development - additional source filed.
