Hello People ,
I am trying to see a BW query in a web interface . I will tell you how am I doing it . I run the transaction RRMX which opens an excel sheet and gives me a tol bar from which I open a query . Then I choose info areas from the next window and it shows me a tree structure with two nodes
1) Financial
2) Industry sectors
I expand industry sectors > retail > staff works
This takes me to two nodes
1) operational
2) sales infocube
I expand sales infocube and this takes me to a couple of nodes
1) Key business driver
2) Manager forcasted sales
3) Productivity data source
4) .
5) .etc
I select key business driver and choose the CHANGE icon from the toolbar . This opens the query designer . There I have an icon in the toolbar which says display quey on web . I click that and it attempts to display the query in internet explorer .
Now the problem is the the message that appears on the browser is
Warning sign : variable OFPER for characterstic fiscal year/period has been converted to required entry .
Error sign : Error when generating data provider .
Now my question is what does this message mean ?Does this mean that the required content that I am trying to access has not been activated or there is some configurational issue ?

Request clarification before answering.
1) Do you get this error while running the BEx query?
2) Is web publish works fine for other queries?

Hari

Hari ,
Actually I am not a BW guy . My objective it publish a BW report an EP as an iview . I am able to configure both the servers successfully but this is the error message that I am getting with this query .
I am not sure how to run a BEx query . You will have to help me execute it in BW .
For other queries I am getting a different error message .For eg I ran "productivity data sorce query " and it shows the following messages
1) you do not have authorisation for component ORC_c02_q0005
2) system error in program cl_rsr_request and from text_elements_get:variables_submit
similar authorisation errors in other queries from sales infocube .
Infact now I am getting the same authorisation error for my previous query as well . How do i get these authorisations ?

Deepak
It's not the web problem what you have to do is Before you generate the query on the Web first you need to generate on the Bex and see if you get any errors then try to generate in the web

Hi,
Try this way ...
For the query you have created, create a webtemplate. For this goto
Business Explorer -> Web Application Designer -> Click on new icon. -> Drag a table web item into the web template.
For table web item properties Query/View select your query name and save it.
Then you have to create an iView using this web template.
Also publish as iView from WAD.
GSM.
Hi GSM,
I have a BW 3.5 and Ep 6 sp14 in my landscape. After completing all the 13 steps to integrate Bw 3.5 and EP 6.0 when I go to WAD and try to publish the webtemplate as an iView it gives me an error "System Error".
The Exact error is that When I click Publish in Portal 6.0
my RFC destinations appear. When I click them to select the folder in the portal content directory it does not appear. I get "System Error".The directory structure does not open.
Please do tell me what the problem is.I am stuck With this problem for some time now.If anybody have come through this problem while publishing in WAD please help.
