Difference between SUPPORT PACK APPLY and NOTES APPLY

Hi Everybody ,

What is the difference between Support pack apply and Notes apply ?

Because one of my senior told me to apply the note to me .

Kindly let me know the difference .

Hi Selvan

A support pack... is a collection of fixes and updates built to improve funtionallity and fix issues in a specific component. A Note is a code correction or a set of instructions to fix a specific problem or bug and usually these fixes are added to the next Support pack.

SAP NOTES

When an end user of SAP finds a bug in the SAP product he reports the same to SAP support, SAP developers check the same and develop a correction for the same. This correction is sent to the customer in the form of a NOTE.

Support Package

If the same or similar bug is reported by multiple clients or end users, then SAP recognizes such bug corrects them and collects all these corrections in one place and adds some enhancements to the earlier version of SAP and then calls this as a SUUPORT PACK. In simple words collection of

SAP NOTES is a SUPPORT PACK.

A SAP Note is NOT a support pack... Sap Notes is just a fix and its applied using SNOTE.. They are applied completely differently!...

Fixes in SAP Notes are included in Support Packs

Support packs are applied using SPAM
