Decision Process Type Transport

I have used a decision process type in my process chain and hence used the BW formula builder to create the logic for the "if then else" conditions of the decision process type. I have collected the process chain with all the required components like the process chain, the start process type, the decision process type and the corresponding formulas. The trasnport went in fine with a warning (return code 4), but the formulas didn't get transported. The transport log reads like "An error occurred when deleting formula XYZ version A" at the RS_RSFO_AFTER_IMPORT. As mentioned, the overall status is a 4 and even though the log reads like "An error" it is in yellow indicating that it is just a warning. How do I transport the formulas?

Hi,

Did you collect formula while transporting the chain. In transport connection in List view (Display) you will find option as BW Formula. Include it along with complete process chain as well. It may resolve your problem.

Let me know if you need more info.

Recollect Process Chain in Transport connection, with 'grouping option "indataflow before & afters'

From collected objects list, expand node process chain and tick check box 'ON' for PC u want to transport...

do the same for process chain starter, process variants, event processing chain & BW formula...

And make sure all other check boxes unchecked.

As mentioned in my post above, the BW formulas (Object type: RSFO) are collected and transported, but they are not found in the target system. Please note that all the other objects are transported except for the formulas. The table RSAFORMMAP doesn't contain any record for the formula ID XYZ in the target system whereas the sender system has corresponding entries.

I am thinking that the transport log that reads "An error occurred when deleting formula XYZ version A" at the RS_RSFO_AFTER_IMPORT could be the key to resolve this, but that is too cryptic to me. Any other ideas?

Hi,

try this :

go to ur process chain and goto your Decision process variant and collect ur process into a transport request from there by clicking on Truck icon. In this way the variant as well as all the associated formulas all are collected into a transport req then and there.

Some times this method helps rather than collecting the process chain from Transport connection.

Ellora, thanks for the inputs. I tried that as well and the result had been the same. The BW formulas are getting collected fine, but they are not getting transported. The problem is weird and I couldn't find any relevant OSS notes or forum posts.

Dear All,

For msg no RSAR481, it is only a warning, it should be not related to any failure. The logic is like below, before the system is trying to import a formula, it will try to delete the formula first without considering the formula existing in the system or not, if the deletion failed, the system will write the warning in the log.
