Iam first time installing SAP on windows 2008 with db29.7FP2 database.Iam installaing (local installation) two instances on same server (DEV and SOLMAN),iam having four drives (C,D,E,F) with 12GB RAM.

First i installed DEV server with below drives.

Installation Drive : D drive

Drive for database : E drive

Drive for online database log files : F drive

Drive for diagnostic data : F drive..

Configured SWAP : 40 GB (c: 8096,d:10240,e:10240,f:10240) - is it recommnded.

Now i want to install solution manager on same server with another instance.Shall i give same drives for: Installation drive ,database , online log files, diagnostic data.

Give me the suggestion iam first time installaing with windows with db2 with 2 instances on same server, appreciate ur hep.

You should be able to install DEV and Solman on one server, but make sure that your usr/sap/trans is different for both instances.

Are you going use same DB for both instances or different database?

You can use the same drives as this will make easy for you to maintain the systems.
