datasource enhancement

Hi! guru's,

                    Iam new to SAP BI and just attending interviews today i face 1 question from wipro is deltas are running and 4 fields are require to enhance and without disturbing the deltas how to pull the data for enhance fields??

Plz. send your valuable suggestions so that it wil help me to overcome this in my next interview.

Hi

There are 2 cases ;

1. Without distrubing delta and populating those fileds from now onwards i.e. no historical data.

    1.1. Enhance 4 fileds in development and test for data populations if everything is ok then replicate DS in BW dev and collect replicated DS in request.

    1.2. Move the ECC data soucre to QA and then move BI replicated req to BW QA and test there.

    1.3 Move same req to Production ECC and also move same BI replicated req to BI prod.

    1.3 since we have collected replication also in request no manual replcaition is required when transport is happen automatically 4 fileds will be added so from next delta onwards data will be loaded for them.

2. With Historical data:

   Same steps will be repeated and here manual replcaitions also fine and data will be deleted and again needs to be loaded to get historical data for them.
