Data Source does not exist in version A

Dear Experts,

I have created data source in ECC 6.0 220 client  ,if i check extraction through t. code RSA2 in 200 ( Development Server) . It gives the message  " data source dose not exist in version A". I have activated data source in 220 through t.code RSA6.  I can see that client 200 also .

Hi,

The reason could be due to different application servers. If your Client 200 and 220 are in same server, then this would not have come. If yes, then you need to transport datasource from 220 to 200.

Check with your BASIS team.

You have not responded to my points. This can be handled by BASIS not by you. Please reply accoding to my first reply.

While creating datasource, you would have saved in a transport request. What type of req is that? Workbench or Customized?

It is workbench request .  Earlier i have created data sources , all are working fine . Now if i am activating in development client ( 220 ) , it is OK. But if i check in testing client (200) , it gives message "DataSource ZOPN_SOLAR does not exist in version A ". Please find request screen shot.

Actually, workbench request should affect in both clients. Have you copied client properly in SCC4?

Otherwise create a customized request and move to client 200. Activate DS in RSA6 before moving.

bit confusion.

is this is your landscap of ecc?

Dev system    Qa system      Prod

ECC 220          Ecc 200      ECCxyz

if Yes, then you need to transport dev request to Qa. have you imported to quality, is it successs?

if yes then only you can see data source and data at RSA3.

Hi,

Please understand Workbench request are client independent means same changes will be reflected in all clients of same server.

Customizing request are client dependednt so we copy the request with the help of SCC1.

So please check accrodingly.

Thanks for help.  I have noticed one strange behavior  , if i check extractor on my PC  t. code RSA2 , it gives same message not active version.  But on my colleague PC it is working fine , now i have replicated it to BW.  what may the reason for that , if any one came across please share .

This seems to be really strange never faced such issue ever.

Try login again and also make sure that you are putting the correct name of datasource,its silly to ask but in situations like this it might come handy.

Might be strange kind behaviour. if log off and relog in on your pc. it migth be worked.

on your collegue machine you used your login credentials or colleague one.

Dear Experts,

I have cross checked 2-3 times , anyway i have replicated it from R/3 to BW through colleague PC with my user id. Still i am getting same message on my PC , but working fine on colleague PC with my credentials. My colleague is power user has no authorization.

ECC system were client depenndant.

No idea how your team was configured client 200 and 220.

please check with your colleague or basis team. if we develop in client 220, those will appear and work at client 200 same as 220.

if works then you need dig further about this.

if not there you can do the same steps at client 200 to activate your data source.

In testing client ( 200 ) , i can not activate because Changes to Repository or cross-client Customizing are not permitted. I have activated this data source already on development client (200).

Please check data source was active version at client 220. if active after the copy thru SCC1, it may available same version at Client 200 also.

Check the data source version at client 220.
