Data description import from different file

Hello!

I'm doing a budget plan in Sap Analytics Cloud. Right now i have a excel file with all my core data, which is sorted with a lot of economic codes (example: 1.1  , 1.0.1 etc), each code has a description (example: 1.0.1 - technology spendings), the descriptions are in a separate excel file, which connects every code with its description.

Is there any way to import the descriptions excel file to my existing model and match the core file codes with the second files description? In a way that i could have a "Description" dimension.

Hi JoãoPiteira, 

   If economic codes is a dimension, you can make it as a public dimension. With that, you can import the second file with code and its description imported by mapping to the description column of the dimension.

This worked, thank you! If i may ask another question, if i want to have a column with the code description instead of a description associated to the same column. Is this possible?

You can select to display property description in the more option of dimension in row axis
