Hi all,
I am trying to plan 2 different currencies in planning layouts and reading SAP's Help I saw:
"Prerequisites
In order to use this function, the necessary currencies, exchange rates, and currency translation keys must be maintained in your system. "
1) I was wondering how the standard currency translations function works and where the currencies are maintained to translate the planned data?
2) Is the table in BI that has all the currency values used in the IP function?
3) Is it able to use older rates or the rate is fixed and cannot be changed throughout the planning process?
Many thanks and Best Regards
Mazzz

Thank you all,
But still i would like to know one more thing:
Which are the possibilities of usage of the exchange rate in the BPS/ BI-IP function: is the rate uploaded from SAP R/3 and is it possible to freeze this rate at the beginning of the budget process. I mean, Is it possible to select the date of the exchange rate? Can the exchange rate be a manual input?
Thanks once again

Hi,
the currency translation function uses a currency type (transaction RSCUR) , which can be customized? This currency type determines which exhange rate type should be used as well as with which data th exchange rates should be accessed (current date, first date of the plan period, ...).
The exchange rates itself have to be entered with transaction OB08. There is some general customizing to be maintained in SPRO / general currencies.
-> this customizing is identical to the one in SAP R/3 itself.
