I have a big problem with my Crystal Reports 2016 program.
It started out as an annoyance. When I wanted to create a new report, I would add in database links. If I add more than one, it would crash the program. Everything else seemed to work fine, I could edit already created reports and change the links no problem.
so I looked online, and one of the listing said update to latest version. I updated to the latest version... Same problem, however now I have a bigger problem. None of the existing reports are running. Some will complete, most will fail. But all end up saying failed "Object failed to run due to an error while processing on the Job Server"
I have several reports that run daily/weekly/monthly for our two locations. I'm over my head in it and I need help.
I've saw several posts saying create new servers in CMC. I didn't setup the program in the first place, and so I'm lost.

Also for the Crystal issue, IIRC, there was an early version of CR 2016 that had this issue. Installing either a service pack or patch fixed it. You can find the SPs and patches for Crystal here: https://origin.softwaredownloads.sap.com/public/site/index.html.
For your Crystal Server/BOBJ issue, you can download the Administrator Guide from here: https://help.sap.com/bobip. You'll need to know which SP of the software you're running. If you can remote in to the server, you can find that under "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel. It will be the latest version/patch that you see there. You'll need to change the version in the drop-down next to the application name at the top.
If you're running Crystal Server (assuming CRS 2016 version), it's the same platform as 4.2, minus the Webi and other non-Crystal stuff, so the help link above will work to get the information you need.
The Administrator Guide will give you information about how to add servers to your system. However, the first thing I would try would be to go to "Servers" in the CMC and stop the Job Server then start it again to see whether that will clear the issue. Also, to find out more about the issue, you can again remote in to the server where CRS/BOBJ is running. Go to the "logging" folder where the software is installed, and look at any Job Server or Job Server Child logs for error messages that will give you more information.
Finally, running Crystal reports is very disk I/O intensive. Frequently, when reports fail, Crystal doesn't clean up it's temp files, so it's possible that you're running out of disk space on the server. Search any temp folders for ~*.rpt and ~*.tmp and delete any files you find that are older than the current day. This is something that should be done at least monthly as part of regular system maintenance tasks.

You need to separate two problems: Crystal Reports Designer crash and Report failing on BI Job Server.
For Crystal Reports Designer crash if you connected to DB2 then:

another potential cause is:
