Dear all,
I have running CR 2008 and have created a crystal report which refers to an BEx query. After I have refreshed the DB connection via menu Database--> check database all filter varibales from the BEx query gets leveraged into crystal as parameter. MY problem: I have defined one Bex filter variable as optional,
but in Crystal I receive this parameter as mandatory. I am not able to define the property "optional" as true, because the relevant line is grey and can not be maintained. Even after several DB refreshments via menu Database-->check database, the parameter gets not the optional value.
How can I define the parameter as optional. Any help would be great.
Best regards from Munich/Germany

Also, you'll not be able to change the prompt properties inside CR Designer for BEx variables.
You might also want to have a look at this SAP Note.

Hi Dhana,
I think you misunderstood the issue. The issue is not really with the Optional Prompts in CR or for that matter SAP B1. The issue is related to a 'variable' defined as 'optional' inside SAP BEx queries that appears as 'mandatory'.
The link you posted are for completely different issues.
