Create level-based hierarchy in Modeler

Hi community,

is there a way to creare a level-based hierarchy in the modeler after the model creation?

Case is this: I need to create a 2 level hier base on the description values of 2 model fields.
I don't want to create a new model since it's already used in some story, that will be a huge rework. I thought I could rebuild the model and add the hier there, but the fields I have to create the hier on were added later the model creation, so I will be missing them in the rebuild phase.

Is there an easy way to do this?
Let me know if you need more details to help me out.

Thanks,

Fabio

Hi Sathyanarayanan, I know how to create a parent-child hierarchy in the modeler, it's not what I asked.
What I need is to create a LEVEL-BASED hier AFTER the model creation without (if possible) rebuild or recreate the model.

Hi,

You can create heirarchy in the dimension.

Eg: Assume you need to create Country ->City hierarchy and you have Country Dimension available and not City.

- Goto Country Dimension.

- Add the City as members in the dimension.

- Add Heirarchy "City"

- For the Country Members the Heirarchy will be Root.

- For the cities, the heirarchy will be the respective country.

This should help your case. But should warn you about we are not sure how the facts will respond so its better to make a copy of the model and test it.
